I create handbags, clutches, and wallets using antique floral illustrations, Florentine fine art papers, and vintage cigar labels. I cut, collage and assemble all of the images between clear vinyl and then I appliqué over each illustration. The final pieces are then trimmed with gold and silver ribbon, lined with natural fabrics, and stitched together to form the finished bag.

My work has evolved from many years of experimentation with collage and construction methods using a very old Singer sewing machine.

This is my first year at Hatch Street Studios, I recently arrived on the South coast after spending the last 29 years living and working in New Orleans.
