M-C Lamarre was raised in New Hampshire and attended Providence College with a major in Fine Arts. Following her Junior Year abroad in Italy, M-C spent her senior year on her thesis in Ceramics. Upon graduating with a BA in Fine Arts in 1996, M-C began what was an eight year long Art Administration career in the Boston area. In the last year she moved to New Bedford.

Drawing on her art administration experience coupled with her fine arts training, in the spring of 2004 M-C launched her fulltime artistic career with a one-person photography exhibition at Harvard University. Her current focus is mural painting in both commercial and residential spaces. Her work includes nurseries, children's rooms, Green Monster murals in "Mantown/basement havens", and commercial venues.
