Erik Durant — Sculpture

My primary interest is the figurative object. I utilize established sculptural methods in order to give the pieces a sense of history while combining them with colors and concepts that appeal to my contemporary aesthetic. Most of my work blends elements of traditional statuary with cheaply cast objects from everyday life such as candy and toy soldiers.
