Much of my art is made to please. I want viewers to feel a sense of pervading peace and beauty when looking at my paintings and to be lifted by the depth and richness of their colors. Recent paintings have focused on ordinary household items such as tea cups and bowls, illustrating that even the mundane seeks balance and needs support. Flowers and fruit provide a never-ending source of inspiration as do environmental disasters such as the tsunami, which I painted in the abstract. Much of my recent work is large-scale, measuring 30 x 40 inches, with two decorative abstracts measuring 36 x 48 inches unframed.
